Coaches
Star Spirit are priviledged to have some of the best coaches in the country working with the club. Here's a bit of information about them...!
Charlotte
Charlotte is Program Director of the academy and has been involved with Cheerleading for 9 years. She is a Dance Teacher and Cheer Coach and is qualified with The United Kingdom Cheerleading Association, The Interational All Star Federation and The International Dance Teachers Association. She is in charge of choreography for competitions and the general running of the club.
She loves shoes, Dirty Dancing and her Engagement Ring (and her fiancee as well obviously!)
Team Responsibilities - Coach of Eclipse and Comets. Choreographer of Solos and Stunt Groups. Program Development.
Gareth
Gareth is Star Spirit's Manager. He's incharge of athlete registration, competition entries and many many other complicated things! He also spots and assists in coaching Partner and Group Stunts.
Tash
Tash is a Cheer and Dance coach with the club. She has been Dancing for 17 years and Cheering for 5. She holds national and regional titles in Modern Jazz and has danced professionally for 2 years. She is qualified with the International All Star Federation and is a member of the ISTD. Her favourite aspect of Cheer is stunting and loves choreographing routines.
She loves chocolate, DVD's and anything sparkley!
Team Responsibilities - Meteors and Rockets and Alsop Training Centre.
Clare
Clare is a Cheer and Dance coach and has been dancing for 17 years. She is a Sport and Dance student at JMU and is an incredible athlete. She also Cheers on Team Eclipse. She is qualified with the NCSSE and ICF.
She is hyperactive and always full of energy.
Her favourite aspect of cheerleading is finding new interesting stunt transitions and sequences.
